Grandstream Device Configuration Settings


Step 1: Log into your Grandstream from a web browser

When your Grandstream is turned on and connected to your LAN network, open an internet browser in your computer to navigate to the IP address of your device. To know the IP address of your Grandstream phone device, press *** on the handset device and dial 02 when prompted for a menu selection. You now will hear the IP address, type it on your browser to access the dashboard from the internet. Default dashboard password is “admin”. After you login you will see a configuration panel showing this information.

Step 2. Configure your Grandstream for SIP trunking.

You will need to simply configure “Profile1”

Make sure you verify the following fields:

  • Profile Active: Yes
  • Primary SIP Server: 213.166.103.6
  • Outbound Proxy: 213.166.103.6
  • DNS Mode: SRV
  • Refer-To Use Target Contact: Yes 

Step 3. Set Preferred DTMF Method (Dial Tone Multi Frequency)

 Go down until you can see this section and set up your Grandstream device according to the following image

Step 4. Set your Codecs

Codecs are very important to improve or enhance the quality of your calls. Make sure you locate and select G729 by scrolling down until you find this section and configure your Grandstream device according to this image.

After you are done with the Codecs click the “Update” button and click on the Handset tab on the top of the screen. Slowly go down until you find this section, setup everything to match this image then click on Update:

Step 5. Enter Your Username and Password Information

 You can setup/configure up to 5 VoIP accounts (SIP Trunks) per device. Scroll down until you can see this section and setup according to this instructions.

Configure your Grandstream for SIP trunking

  • SIP User ID: Username
  • Authenticate ID: Username
  • Authenticate Password: SIP Password
  • Name: This is your CallerID, write here what you would like others to see when you call
  • Profile: Select Profile1

Click the “Update” and then the “Reboot”.

Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing issues registering your SIP trunking account on your Grandstream device, double-check the instructions as described in this document and make sure there are no spaces or misspellings on the username or password.
